Harlequin Fractal Star
Designed and Folded by Evan Zodl
Designed and folded April 2015 from 24 square sheets of Nicolas Terry's tissue foil.
It's been a while since I've designed something new. I've wanted to design this model for quite some time now, so I am really excited about how it turned out! It is also a fractal, so the pattern can be repeated until the paper becomes too small to work with.
This particular model has 3 stages. Each stage is folded separately, and can easily be assembled without adhesives. The final model is also very sturdy, so I am very happy with the result! I would really like to teach this one at the OUSA Convention this year!
