Designed and Folded by Evan Zodl

Designed and folded April 2020 from five square sheets of kraft paper.

This design is dedicated to Eugene Orihuel, my uncle’s father, who recently passed away after battling Coronavirus in Spain. This is the time of year when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, so I hope this design brings a little bit of happiness to Eugene’s wife, Evelyn, his son, Eric, and his friends and family who wish they could be together during these difficult times. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we do our part to slow the spread of this virus.

For those interested in design details, the units themselves are fairly simple to fold. Each unit is folded from an uncut square and four or more of them can be combined to create beautiful floral designs. I intend to diagram this model so that everyone can give it a try. Please let me know what you think! :)
