Learn how to make an Origami Celestial Kusudama designed by Joseph Hwang with this video tutorial! This is an excellent modular model, and it's not very difficult to fold. Each unit is folded from one square, and you will need 30 units to fold your kusudama.

Diagrams for this model can be found in Joseph's new book called The Art of Modular Origami. You can buy a copy here. By purchasing the book through this affiliate link, you’re supporting the artist and my YouTube channel.

Special thanks to Joseph Hwang for granting me permission to share this design with you. He is in the process of diagramming around 30 modulars for a new book, so check back in the coming weeks for updates! In the meantime, be sure to check out photos of his work here. You can also find free diagrams on his website here.
